Los Angeles County's Roadmap to RecoveryLos Angeles County residents are doing their part to follow the County's "Safer at Home" Health Office Order in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. In accordance with the Governor's guidelines for Stage 2 of the Stay-at-Home Order, Los Angeles County is now taking its first steps towards reopening businesses and getting people back to work. The following is a list of businesses that are re-opening with adaptations, today, May 8th, 2020: Non-essential business reopening for curbside pick-up while practicing safe distancing and infection control:
Outdoor parks and recreational facilities are open provided all activities adhere to social distancing and infection control protocols:
*LA County parks, trails, trailheads, and golf courses will open Saturday, May 9. The re-opening of businesses will occur in stages and require physical distancing and infection control practices. For more information on the stages to re-open, click here. The curve is flattening, however Los Angeles County is practicing caution while reopening. COVID-19 is still active in LA County and dangerous.. As LA County moves into its first stage of recovery, all residents, business owners and employees must continue to observe and practice all COVID-19 physical distancing requirements. Senator Bradford Secures $25,000 Contribution from Phillips 66 and Participates in Food Giveaway: Yesterday, Senator Bradford in partnership with Phillips 66 hosted a food giveaway to help families in need. Senator Bradford helped secure a donation of $25,000 to the Gardena Carson Family YMCA through a grant from the Crisis Response Community Relief Project of Phillips 66. We were able to distribute 1200 meals. The grant will support the following YMCA COVID-19 relief efforts: Farm Fresh Produce to low-income families and seniors, Grab-and-Go Food Programs, and Essential Supplies to low-income residents.
