Scholarships & Opportunities for Students

I am reaching out to ask for your help in sharing this information about financial and educational resources available to high school students through the California Legislative Black Caucus (CLBC)

Named after the first African American Legislator in California, Frederick Roberts, the California Legislative Black Caucus Scholarship Program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to help meet educational expenses.

The CLBC also offers an annual 4-day residential leadership and advocacy initiative "African American Leaders of Tomorrow (AALT)”– in partnership with California State University Dominguez Hills, which will be taking place July 19th – July 22nd. This program is designed for 10th & 11th grade high school students.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship and the AALT program is Monday, May 15th.

Please see the attached flyers for both programs. You may contact my office if you have any questions!
