Senator Bradford issues statement on Mark Ridley-Thomas

SACRAMENTO – Senator Steven Bradford (D-Gardena) issued the following statement on Mark Ridley-Thomas:

“I am compelled to share my appreciation for the civic contributions of Mark Ridley-Thomas. Mark Ridley-Thomas has devoted his professional life to serving the people of Los Angeles. He has invested his time and energy to empower and uplift his community and constituents for decades. He advocated for and oversaw the construction of the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital that is saving lives and improving the health of countless underserved Angelenos. As the former Executive Director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Greater Los Angeles, he worked to advance civil rights during turbulent times in our city. His relentless commitment to helping improve the lives of others through public service will always be worthy of our admiration and appreciation.”
